2022 NFL Conference Championship Picks- Chiefs back to the Super Bowl, Rams get back at 49ers

Only four teams remain in the hunt for the Super Bowl. The Bengals after their huge win against Tennessee, the Chiefs after a thrilling win, the Rams after finishing the Bucs, and the 49ers in the snow filled Green Bay. Sunday will be action packed as we start with the Bengals vs. Chiefs game and end with the 49ers and Rams game.

The Cincinnati Bengals are the team which keeps defying the odds. They beat the 1 seed Titans which is not easy to do. Evan McPherson came up huge for them and was definitely the hero. Against Kansas City, they need to concede less sacks and protect Joe Burrow better. Taking 9 sacks in a playoff game is not good for the quarterback and opens the door for the defense. I thought their defense came up big and played great. For them, I think they have to stay close to Kansas City for the entire game. Like their Week 17 matchup, they kept it close and eventually won the game. I believe this team has a real chance to win if they slow down Mahomes and take less sacks.

The Chiefs are coming off one of their best offensive performances of the season. Mahomes brings his best game in the playoffs and plays at a whole different level. He ran the ball which helped them, was pretty good passing the ball, and was great on third downs. He was turnover free and played his best game of the season. For the defense, they have to play better and cover the defense with more efficiency. Gabriel Davis isn’t even the Bills best receiver but he got 200 yards and 4 touchdowns. They have to play better and can’t let Ja’Marr Chase beat them again. Can they get back in the Super Bowl for the 3rd straight year?

I believe the Chiefs are going to win this ball game 34-27. After that offensive performance against Buffalo which had the number 1 total defense in the regular season, no defense can stop the Chiefs. They have looked so good in the playoffs and I think they’ll head back to the Super Bowl. This game will be televised on CBS and Paramount+ at 3:00 PM on Sunday from Arrowhead Stadium.

The NFC Championship contest is a division game between the 49ers and the Rams. Three weeks ago they played and it was the Niners winning at Sofi. The 49ers Cinderella story has not come to an end yet and they keep on breaking barriers. Here’s their story so far. They visited Dallas and won there and after that they came to a bitter cold Green Bay to play spoilers there as well. This team has belief and grit and somehow got through both those teams. The defense shut down two of the best quarterbacks and have only given up an average of 13.5 points in those two games. They’ve covered the top receivers well and pressured the quarterback with their strong front. They’ve already beat the Rams twice this season and I think they have a real chance at this game.

The Rams are coming off a game where they played amazing in the 1st half but totally crumbled in the 2nd. They have to play consistently throughout the whole game and limit fumbles/ interceptions. Matthew Stafford played fantastic and I’m sure it would have been a blowout win if they hadn’t lost four fumbles. This was one of those games where he looked calm and delivered some nice passes. He can be really talented at his best. Cooper Kupp played a huge part in the game and caught some pretty important passes in the game. This team is playing really well in the playoffs and are one win away from a Super Bowl at home.

I believe the Rams are going to come out on top and win 27-23. They’ve gotten better as a team and both sides of the team make plays. Sean McVay is going to get them going and I have a feeling this will be the end of the 49ers amazing season. I know the 49ers keep on beating teams away from home but this Rams team looks really good. They’ll have a sellout SoFi Stadium and they’re definitely going to put on a show in the NFC Championship. This game will be televised on FOX at 6:30 PM EST on Sunday from SoFi Stadium.

Four teams are still standing but at the end of the weekend, we will have two left. A Super Bowl rematch of the Chiefs and the 49ers? An underdog matchup between the Bengals and the 49ers? We’ll find out very soon on January 30th.

 THE END
