The Super Bowl is just a few days away and I have a feeling this Super Bowl will go down to the wire. The Rams and the Bengals have won two games in the playoffs by three points and I’d be really surprised if the game ended by a difference of more than 7 point. For the Bengals, they shocked Arrowhead and the Chiefs by winning while down by 18. The Rams quieted the many 49ers fans in SoFi by a great finish to the game. This Super Bowl might have been the unlikeliest of teams but I’m sure we’ll get a really good game (and halftime show) on Sunday Night.
The Cincinnati Bengals have one of the best stories to tell this season. They won a very evenly matched AFC North division, beat the 2 seed in the AFC twice, and also beat the one seed of the AFC. Joe Burrow and his team were down by 18 at halftime at Chiefs Kingdom and I couldn’t believe they won. To even have the mentality and strength to go against Mahomes while being down 3 possessions is mind blowing and to win, I was dumbstruck. Joe Burrow led his team back from a pretty big deficit and sent his team to the Super Bowl with a gritty performance. The defense came back and only gave up a total of 3 points in the remainder of the game compared to when they gave up 21 in the 1st Half. I feel like the biggest question for me is which player is going to cover Cooper Kupp? If they double cover him, that could mean Odell Beckham is more open, but if they play one on one with Kupp, he will get open too easily. I feel like they should play two safeties high and bring the safeties in to help with Beckham and Cooper Kupp. They did that against the Chiefs with Kelce and Hill so I expect them to do that again against these two amazing receivers. For the 1st time in 33 years, the Bengals are in the Super Bowl. This team is not going to make it easy for the hometown LA Rams and are going to give it everything they’ve got.
The Rams finally beat the 49ers after a while last Sunday at SoFi Stadium. I thought they played really well considering the 49ers kept on beating them, there were a lot of 49ers fans at the stadium, and the pressure for them to win. Sean McVay handled his team really well and now they have the chance to win the Super Bowl on home turf. Matthew Stafford got away with a really bad throw and was super lucky that Jaquiski Tartt dropped the easiest interception ever. If Tartt caught that, the 49ers could have scored again and made it a two score game. Instead, the Rams took advantage of the drop and scored two field goals to eventually win the game. For Stafford, these types of mistakes can’t happen on the big stage and they could cost him the Lombardi Trophy. Cooper Kupp had another crazy game against the Niners and continues to tear apart defenses. One thing that I’d like to highlight is the Rams defense. They stopped a very talented run offense and that really took an element away from the 49ers. Aaron Donald is going to be a leader for them and whatever nerves the players have, he is going to be the one to energize and pump up the team. The Rams have faced some tough opponents in the playoffs and I feel they’re going to put on a great Super Bowl LVI in California.
I believe the Cincinnati Bengals are going to win the Super Bowl by a score of 30-27. They can accomplish anything and I don’t think fan noise affects them. Kansa City and Tennessee were booming but they fought it out on both those occasions. I feel like Evan McPherson is going to hit a bunch of field goals again and play an important part in his team’s victory. I also have a feeling that LSU’S Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow will be the MVP of this game. He has had some explosive games this season and I feel Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase will put on a clinic in the newly made SoFi Stadium. Joe Burrow hasn’t played in the NFL a lot but has such a good sense of football and this game. Could the 2020 NFL first overall draft pick Joe Burrow win Cincinnati a Super Bowl? Can Joe Burrow’s team conquer the jungle?
The last game of this NFL season is between the Bengals and the Rams. Two teams who nobody guessed would make it to the Super Bowl LVI. Two teams who had a fantastic regular season. Will Joe Burrow and the Bengals be the heroes or will Matthew Stafford and the Rams spoil Cincy’s visit to Hollywood? We’ll find out on Sunday Night from Inglewood, California. Coverage on NBC begins at 12:00 noon with the Road to the Super Bowl followed by a 5 hour pre game show. Super Bowl LVI begins at 6:30 PM on NBC.
