NFL Week 17 Match Prediction- Washington Football Team vs Philadelphia Eagles.

This Week 17 division clash between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Football Team is a super important game. If the Washington Football team win they automatically clinch a playoff berth after a very long time, specifically they last made the playoffs in the 2015-2016 NFL season. It is a must win for them and they could beat the Eagles once again as they did in the first game of the season. Only the difference this time is that there are different quarterbacks for both teams. Dwayne Haskins played in the first matchup between these teams but this time it will be Alex Smith if he gets fine from his injury in time. If Smith doesn’t get fine in time to make his return it will be Taylor Heinicke to make the start as the team released Dwayne Haskins. On the Eagles side it will be Jalen Hurts the rookie from Oklahoma to make the start as it looks like Doug Pederson and the Eagles lost the trust in Carson Wentz. He is 1-2 in his 3 starts but has played well, just not enough to win. In his last 2 starts he produced more than 400 yards rushing and passing but lost both those games. I am guessing he will have a tough night against Chase Young and that Washington pass rushers. It will be an end to end game to watch and will be crucial. Both teams will put in their absolute best and it will be a crack of a game.

As much as I am a Washington Football Team fan I am sorry to say that I think the Eagles will win this game by a score of 24-17. Jalen Hurts will be the difference for them as he will make the pays to rally them to a win. Washington will pay the price for missing the opportunities at home to clinch the playoffs. But it won’t be an easy one. The interceptions and turnovers in the last few games from Dwayne Haskins were very costly or else they would have grabbed the win from those games. I think Jalen Hurts will end his season strong and be a great franchise quarterback that the Eagles fans will look up to. On the other hand, if Terry Mclaurin and Alex Smith play as both of them are looking to return from injury, Washington could win. The Eagles cornerbacks and safeties have to watch out for Logan Thomas their high targeted tight end and Terry Mclaurin (if he plays) their number one wide receiver. Logan Thomas has been the weapon for them no matter which players were playing for them. Those guys are something to look out for because they will repeatedly be targeted and they will prevail at the end. So the Eagles defense have an important task ahead of them. These are things to watch out for either sides.

The last game of the regular season will be settled on a Sunday Night from Philadelphia. Washington has to give every ounce of what they have left and win a spot in the NFL Playoffs. So the action awaits this sunday evening….

  1. I don’t think the Washington football team is a creative name and it took all that time just to think of that name. Where did you get the information from?

  2. Great review Raghav. I agree but I think it’s going to be way closer. You did a very good job . If you need something to write about the college football playoffs are happening now.
    Amazing,

  3. I hope to the Washington Football Team wins, though your prediction is making me doubt that. Also, I can think of 10 better names then WFT. The Legislatures, the Gladiators, the Pharaohs, the Frogs (or the tadpoles). Amazing review, by the way! Go Washington 🤩!

  4. Very good analysis and great insights Raghav.

Looks like Alex Smith will be playing tomorrow according to the most recent update. This could be a real game changer for Washington.

Let’s hope and wish that Washington will win tomorrow and make it to playoffs.

    Keep up the good work..!!

  5. Raghav, this is great analysis! As an Eagles fan, I can say for sure that I hope your prediction is right. I do think that Hurts is due to have a breakout game, and what better time than the last game of the season? Wonderful review, it was a great read!
