The Rams get a chance of redemption to win against the Seahawks. They lost in Week 16 and Jared Goff picked up his thumb injury in that game. They lost 20-9 and have another chance to beat their fellow team in the NFC West. A division Wild Card game in Seattle will decide who will win and move on. They are tied 1-1 in the series this year. So who will take the lead; Rams or the Seahawks?
The Rams barely managed a win against the dangerous Cardinals with their backup quarterback. But the offense didn’t do much. The defense did most of it. They had a 84 yard interception touchdown and a safety. The other points were field goals so the Rams defense pretty much did everything. The Seahawks offense is ruthless so the defense and the offense have to come out ready. Jared Goff might not play against them so their backup quarterback John Wolford has to be ready to attack. He has Cooper Kupp and speedy Robert Woods on his back. This rivalry wild card game is quite important and they should have a good overall team performance to win.
The Seahawks clinched the division and are on a 4 game winning streak. If Jared Goff doesn’t play that would be amazing for them as they can eliminate him as one of the dangerous players on this football team. They are a team with a lot of potential but they haven’t quite been using those dynamic skills. Russell Wilson has played well but I know he can play better and the Rams defense is a real test for him. He has two very reliable receivers named DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. They have been the go to people all year and Wilson should get them up and running. He is a great passer and thrower similar to Josh Allen but could’ve been an MVP contender if it weren’t for some extra interceptions thrown. I also think the defense has been playing better. Getting some more sacks and turnovers is a good sign to hold the Rams still. They have home field advantage and a truck full of good players ready to charge. They have to beat that Rams defense to get somewhere in this game.
I think the Seahawks will win this game 24-13. The Rams offense hasn’t necessarily been playing great and I have my doubts about them. They haven’t been able to use Cooper Kupp and they need to get the ball to him more. He is in the shadows and Robert Woods on spotlight. Even if Jared Goff plays he is not having his best year with a load of turnovers so he probably won’t get the engine running. The Seahawks will unlock their stronger form and win this home Wild Card game. They are a powerful team which can hit you whenever; on a 75 yard bomb or a simple screen which goes for 20 yards. They are capable of different skills and that is what makes them such a good football team. The Rams are a good team but not good enough to beat them. This should be a routine win for them to advance to the Division Round. This could be Russell Wilson’s breakout game and show the world his fabulous skills that he hasn’t really showed.
A mid-day football game in Seattle should be an interesting game. Can the Los Angeles Rams upset another team like they did to the Cardinals or will the Seattle Seahawks advance to the Divisional Round for the second straight year? We will find out in this NFC West rivalry game on Saturday.
