The last two teams left standing of 32 in the league, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Two quarterbacks who’ve had great seasons and truly deserve to be at this stage on February 7th in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers are making NFL History for being the first team to host the Super Bowl in their home stadium as the Chiefs are looking to win 2 straight Super Bowls with their stacked team. This was a matchup no doubt that people expected to happen this year and here we are now, Patrick Mahomes vs Tom Brady. This should be an action-packed game like how the last meeting between these two teams was in Week 12.
The Chiefs pretty much dominated the game against the Bills in the AFC Conference Championship game even though Mahomes had a slight toe injury. Last time they played the Bucs, Mahomes and Tyreek Hill had a wild game in their 27-24 win. To me, that was Hill’s best game of the season with 13 catches for 269 yards along with 3 receiving touchdowns. It not only was Hill’s best game of the season, it was one of Mahomes best games also. He threw for his most all year with 462 passing yards, one turnover which was a fumble, and 28 rushing yards. Those two blew the game wide open and could do again in the Super Bowl. Another player who is something to look out for and can help the Chiefs to glory is tight end Travis Kelce who is a huge part of the Chiefs success and one of Mahomes top targets. He will surely be passed to plenty and can easily smash defenses with his amazing skills. Those two receivers are the best of the best and will be a piece of the puzzle to defeat Tampa Bay and win the Championship 2 straight times. The Chiefs are a team which has been dominant all season and they sure have a big chance of winning the Super Bowl.
Tom Brady is simply a magician. Taking the Patriots to the Super Bowl plenty of times is something but taking a totally new team which used to be in the dumps in his first year with Tampa is a whole different world. I totally did not expect him to reach this stage again but here he is for his 10th Super Bowl in his home stadium. WOW! His team has great players also. Wide Receivers Chris Godwin and Mike Evans are having great seasons and should be important in this one too. Both are deep ball catchers and don’t make mistakes very often. Evans takes a lot of deep posts routes and his size is also an advantage for him. Godwin takes deep routes in the middle of the field and like Evans his size helps him catch the ball. They are tremendous receivers that any quarterback would want badly. Other than those two players, the Tampa Bay defense has a big job of stopping Patrick Mahomes which they could not do in the previous meeting in Week 12. The Buccaneers are a team which not really anybody expected to play at Super Bowl 55 but now they are so good that they have a big chance of taking home the Lombardi Trophy and winning the championship.
I believe the Kansas City Chiefs will win this game 30-24. The last time these two teams played the Chiefs had a big and strong 17 point score in the 1st quarter but could only score 10 points for the remainder of the game. This time they will keep their boat going and stack more points on the board. Mahomes and Hill had their best games of the season from my perspective and those 2 could do it again. For the MVP of the game, I think either Mahomes, Hill, or Kelce will win this honor because all 3 are just stomping records every single game and nobody can stop them. Even the best defense of the league cannot stop them. The Chiefs have only won 1 Super Bowl since 1970 which was last year and can make it back to back trophies.
It should be an exciting match for the last game of the season on February 7th 6:30 Eastern Time on CBS from Raymond James Stadium, the home of the hosts, Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Can Tom Brady claim his 7th Super Bowl Ring but this one with the Buccaneers or will Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs make it 3 Super Bowl rings in their team franchise? We will find out soon enough on a Sunday Evening in Tampa Bay.
THE END
Chiefs are considered to be favorites, but I feel Tom Brady is gonna pull a surprise today. I like both the quarterbacks, but this could be Brady’s last super bowl appearance.
So for one last time, I wish Brady to be a super bowl champion.
Great analysis Raghav, keep up the good work.
