The Buccaneers and the Chiefs both have star offenses which can do amazing things but the defenses for both squads is something to watch out for. They have gotten plenty of turnovers and are also tremendous. The Buccaneers have a great pass rush and they bring blitz to the quarterback while the Chiefs are a very aggressive team which hits hard. Let’s look at some key defensive players for both teams.
Kansas City Chiefs-
Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu- Mathieu is such a good safety and reads the situation so well. He can come in and blitz, play deep safety and grab interceptions, and block the run which he did very well in the Browns Divisional game. He had a pick of a deflection in the last game vs Tom Brady and is a very important player on this team as a whole.
Rookie Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed- This cornerback has been so useful in the defense. He has a sack in each of his last two playoff games and has brought pressure to the QB. He is a rookie with a lot of talent and skill which the Bucs have to watch out for.
Lastly, Defensive Tackle Chris Jones and Defensive End Frank Clark- This duo has been good always and can give pressure to Brady. But, Jones plays on the inside where the Bucs amazing Center and blocker Ryan Jensen who is a big guy and can block very well. Even then they will be a great danger to the quarterback.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers-
The 4 Buccaneers Linebackers Jason Pierre Paul, Shaquil Barrett, Lavonte David, and Devin White- These 4 players are so deadly and are such a good combination. Pierre Paul had a great game vs the Packers with 2 sacks and Shaquil Barrett had 3 sacks against the Packers also. 5 sacks from 2 players is pretty impressive, right? Lavonte David had a great game vs the Saints with some good plays and a sack in the Washington Football Team game. Devin White had a pick vs the Saints and some really nice plays. These 4 players are a key part of the defense and they will most likely bring more danger to the quarterback because Chiefs guard Eric Fisher is out with an Achilles injury.
When you watch this game, watch out for these players from both defenses because they are the best on each defense. They are the highlight players.
