NFL Super Bowl Team Performance- Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the Super Bowl LV (55) champions! It was a big team effort that led them to becoming the champs. Both sides of the football did their part in the tall task to beat the defending Super Bowl Champs the Kansas City Chiefs by a dominant score. A few  players stood out to me in their win and their performance is definitely praiseworthy.

The 4 linebackers Jason Pierre Paul (J.P.P), Shaquil Barrett, Devin White, and Lavonte David- I’ve mentioned these players so many times before about how they can be troublesome for the quarterback and are the players to look out for in each game. All 4 were great and were moving in different parts of the field consistently. Pierre Paul is generally used as a pass rusher and in this game he made Mahomes uncomfortable in the pocket and forced him to scramble. Same thing with Shaquil Barrett; Barrett got a sack and kept on pushing Mahomes back and back on the field on some 4th downs late in the 4th quarter. Lavonte David made some great plays in the game and was another key player in the defense. Lastly, Devin White got an interception in the end zone late in the 4th and made good tackles in this game. He probably played the best out of the other 3 even though everyone was tremendous. These 4 made a huge impact in this game and the defense was so successful mainly because of them. If the whole defense could have gotten the MVP award the Buccaneers defense definitely deserved it in stopping Patrick Mahomes which is a tall task.

Quarterback Tom Brady- I’m not a big Tom Brady fan but even I have to admit what this man has done is remarkable. Winning 7 Super Bowls in 21 years in the NFL is mind blowing. What is even more crazy is coming to Tampa Bay trying to clean up the team to make them Super Bowl LV champions. In this game he was turnover- free and delivered what the Bucs fans wanted to see, a Super Bowl win. He won his 5th Super Bowl MVP award and made no mistake vs the Chiefs. This man is ageless and will most likely be the Buccaneers starting quarterback next season also.

Tight End Rob Gronkowski- This game from my opinion was Gronkowski’s best game of the season. He stacked up 2 receiving touchdowns and 6 receptions for 67 yards. He came out of retirement and was a huge part of the Super Bowl. He and Tom Brady are one of the best duos in all of football and it was great for him to also come to Tampa Bay from New England. Gronk knows Brady the best of the whole team and had a Super Bowl breakout. After tight end O.J Howard got injured, he was a big target in the red zone and caught some touchdowns. It wasn’t his best year overall but he had a good Super Bowl.

All these players I mentioned above were the difference makers to lead their team to their 2nd Super Bowl victory in their whole franchise. They all played splendidly in the Super Bowl and will be important to watch next season as well.
