Both of these teams are arguably in the best Premier League form right now. Manchester City got their Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne back from an injury while West Ham’s striker Michael Antonio returned for them. Two key players who will make a big difference in this exciting game. Both of these sides have been going in the right direction right now and will be fun to watch on an early Saturday morning from Etihad Stadium in Manchester.
West Ham have taken such a big leap from last year when they ended up in 16th place to being a UEFA Champions League contender for next year in 4th place right now. I’m sure David Moyes will be very pleased with his team this year, especially if they come out with at least a point vs City. Jesse Lingard is having the best time with the Hammers and will probably want to stay permanently and not on loan from Manchester United. This team needs him and will do anything to make him stay with them. Their defense will have to be top notch vs City because they will cash in on any silly mistake. Usually in games, Manchester City dominate possession so whenever West Ham get a chance, they need to at least get a shot on the net to test Ederson. Whatever opportunities they get, they have to be clinical on them. I have a very strong gut feeling that West Ham will be the team to not let Man City get a win.
I already believe that City will win the Premier League. The way they are playing soccer right now seems invincible against the other teams. Every game, this team produces so much quality defending and attacking that it is next to impossible to stop them. They shouldn’t underestimate West Ham because they can surprise anyone, even the top team. I expect the top 3 attackers ( probably Mahrez, Foden, and Sterling ) to create the sparks and shots on target for this team. All of them have tremendous skill and I am sure at least one of them will score in this game.The midfielders will also have an important role in this game. Kevin De Bruyne and İlkay Gündoğan both are such good mids and have a big impact on this team. Before his injury, De Bruyne kept on getting assists in every game and while he was out on his injury, Gündoğan was doing spectacularly. This team is consistent even when players are missing, they still score plenty of goals. They are on the road to being the champions and there is no denying that statement.
I believe that this Premier League game will end up as a 2-2 tie. Both teams are playing gloriously and there won’t be a winner between the two sides. West Ham have been scoring and all of their key players are healthy so they are good to go. Even though a tie is not ideal in this part of the year, it would be amazing if they could get at least a point vs City who are riding a 17 game unbeaten run in the league. The Hammers are remarkable and their success will carry on to this match as well. It will be an action-packed thrilling game.
