The Manchester United Red Devils come to Stamford Bridge to play the Chelsea Blues. Both teams are in the top 5 of the table and desperately need a win this Sunday morning to stay up with the others and not fall behind. Edinson Cavani is doubtful for the game against his former Paris Saint German coach Thomas Tuchel as well as a few other United players. Chelsea have a pretty healthy team for this game but the only player who is missing is defender Thiago Silva. This game is extremely important for both sides as the top of the table is tightening up.
United has two players which really stand out to me, Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes. They are the opportunity makers and are the ones which score for this team. Two other players that have the potential of giving a fine performance are Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood. They had such a spectacular year last season but haven’t been scoring much recently. It will help the whole team if those two forwards can get up and running again. United must also focus on its defense. They have made some bad plays and mistakes in the last few games which have been costly for them. The goalie and those center backs have to be very careful against a Chelsea team who has all sorts of stars including Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech. This defense needs to be playing to the best of their ability or else the whole team will fall apart. Their midfielders could also drop back sometimes to help the defense be more efficient. Manchester United can be very unpredictable at times but they really need a win to stay in the title hunt race. They are not out of the trophy race and have to keep playing great with their superb squad.
Chelsea has really benefited from signing Thomas Tuchel as their new manager. He has 6 wins and 2 ties in all competitions out of his 8 games as coach. This team didn’t start that well but are now finding their rhythm and coming together as a whole team. Players who are not having the best year are their new signings Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner. Before Chelsea, these two players were both playing super but when they came to London it all just broke down. They are missing chances and are not playing like the type of players everyone thought they would be. If the Blues want to finish in the top 4, they need these two to step up and play better. Manchester United have a lot of speedy players on their team so Tuchel and his team can’t give careless passes which turn into a breakaway counter-attack. Chelsea has to press United and really need a win against their rivals to move into the top 4.
I believe Manchester United will win this game by the score of 2-1. Even though they are missing important players in their lineup, they have such skilled men who are hard to play against. I also think that the two wing backs Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw will make a big difference. They are very efficient in defending the ball as well as pushing forward and crossing the ball to their teammates. United will make up in this match for their recent ties against teams they should’ve won against. Chelsea will lose their first match under newly appointed manager Thomas Tuchel who has satisfied Chelsea fans in his first few games at the club.
