NHL Team Performance- Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers have not been playing that well currently. They lost 9-0 to the Rangers and a few games after that lost 6-1 to the Islanders. Both their goalies are not that sharp and get benched in most of the games. Right now, they are in the 5th place which is one spot below the last playoff spot which the Bruins occupy now.

Some players that stand out to me on this team are Claude Giroux and Joel Farabee. There are other good players on this team but not as good as these two. Farabee is becoming better and better as he is having a breakout year. Sean Couturier missed a lot of time at the beginning of the season due to injury so Farabee filled in his spot and scored some goals. He is a young player in awakening and will be an important player for Philadelphia moving forward. Giroux is a long time Flyer and has served them well. He is an experienced player with a lot of skill and he is having another good year. As long as he is on the ice, the Flyers will score goals.

Two positions that this hockey team should look at is a goalie and a defensemen. Carter Hart and Brian Elliott haven’t been playing well so they should pick up a goalie which is pretty good as the trade deadline approaches. Another player they should be looking at is a defensemen. The defense is pretty young so they should try to make an offer for an experienced defender to be a captain for those young players who need some guidance. The trade deadline is  Monday, April 12 so Alain Vigneault should act quick to get some new players.

Some games the Flyers have been good but in others they’ve been stampeded on by the opposition so they should be more consistent. Their goalies also need to step up in their game. Can the Philadelphia Flyers change their team and make it stronger to have hope for the playoffs or will their players continue being off?

THE END
