These two teams’ offense has been explosive all season and they could face each other in the Super Bowl this year. They almost met there last year but did not due to their respective losses to the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49er’s. Both teams’ skills are similar except Titans rely on the run while the Packers rely on the passing game. Both defenses are not the best but offenses get them winning. A game on Sunday Night Football at Lambeau Field will decide the outcome of the teams.
Tennessee Titans vs Green Bay Packers. People talk about these teams’ offenses. Their offense create fires, create points. But I think the defenses are the key for this game. Defenses need to cause punts, field goals, and stopping each other in the red zone.
If you can limit Derrick Henry, the Titans running back you are shutting down most of the team pretty much. They are heavy run so that Packers defensive front will be in a night of pain. It is very challenging to keep him from getting at least 100 yards if not 150. He is the anchor of the team so if the Packers can shut him down they have a high percentage of winning. But I think they won’t be able to keep him at bay for long. Tennessee’s passing is also very good. People always talk about the run game but the passing game is also magnificent.
Ryan Tannehill, the Titans quarterback routed the Titans to playoffs last year and this year he is playing really well. This team hasn’t clinched the playoffs yet because the Indianapolis Colts have the same record as them at 10-4. The Titans QB change really switched the future for the Titans. The Titans are on a very successful road ahead of them.
On the other hand, the way to stop the Packers from scoring is to play on Davante Adams the Packers number one receiver. The Titans cornerbacks and safeties have to cover him well because he has been electric this season. He has 14 touchdown catches and will probably have more in these remaining 2 games. Double teaming is an option, the Panthers did a really nice job covering him and in that game he was limited to 7 receptions for a total of 42 yards. The Titans have to prevent him from being at his best or else they are in for a rocky trip.
I think the Titans will win this game by a score of 38-34. It will be a high scoring because both teams always score high and this game will be no exception. Derrick Henry will bulldoze the Packers and win it. But Aaron Rodgers, the Packers QB will also play outstanding against the Titans. He will find a way to connect with Adams and his receivers to get close to Tennessee. It will start evenly like back and forth but then I think the Titans passing game will do something to give them an edge.
It will be a heck of a game and will have an exciting ending to it. A lovely AFC vs NFC game is around the playoffs with the last Sunday Night game. Henry vs Adams, who will win?
