Week 2 of the Premier League is upon us and it’s time for the North West London Derby between Arsenal and Chelsea. Arsenal lost to the newcomers Brentford in their 1st game and will look to bounce back on home turf. Chelsea meanwhile shut down Crystal Palace in their opener by the score of 3-0. Romelu Lukaku is expected to play for Chelsea as they signed him from Inter Milan recently.
Chelsea are one of the top contenders for the title this year and they have a dream team to do it. Lukaku is going to be dynamite and is going to be a goal scoring machine. He will have playmakers around him like Mason Mount who had a fantastic year, Hakim Ziyech, and Kai Havertz who are both into their second year at the club. Christian Pulisic is also an amazing player with so much potential. Thomas Tuchel has such good players to work with and will work hard to get another trophy for Chelsea. They have a title winning team but they have to deliver and perform like one to win a very competitive Premier League. We saw them beat City in the Champions League last season and make it to the FA Cup final so they aren’t short of success and making it to big games. This is their year to win the Premier League and possibly some other trophies.
Arsenal lost to Brentford in their opener by the score of 2-0 and will be looking to play much better vs Chelsea. They will be without Andre Lacazette and Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang in this game which will be challenging. Bukayo Saka and Pepe will have to play really well in this match and will have to produce offensively. Arsenal’s defense has to be very good to shut down Lukaku and their other big names. I don’t think they can win this game just because of the way they’re playing compared to Chelsea. This game is going to be a big challenge for the Gunners as they are looking to get their 1st points of the season.
I believe Chelsea will win this game 2-0. I think Lukaku will get a goal on his debut and Chelsea will keep on pushing their rivals backwards for the whole game. Like the Brentford game, I don’t think Arsenal will be coordinated and will lack a lot of quality. Also, two of their top players are missing which makes it even harder for the offense and the team. I think Chelsea will move to 2-0 and Arsenal will become 0-2. This derby should be a fun one between Chelsea and Arsenal from Emirates.
Can Arsenal pull off an upset in front of their fans or will Chelsea beat their rivals in the North West London Derby? We will find out at 11:30 A.M on Sunday from Arsenal’s stadium.
