2021-22 Premier League Match Prediction- Manchester City vs Arsenal

Saturday kicks off with the defending PL Champions Man City facing the Gunners at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester. City last weekend toppled Norwich City 5-0 while Arsenal lost 2-0 to their rivals Chelsea. Arsenal have not scored a goal this season and have really struggled this season. Unfortunately, Man City are not any easier so they are in trouble. This match kicks off at 7:30 AM in the morning and should be a fun one.

Arsenal are not playing well, it’s a fact right now. They have gotten chances but have not been clinical in the attacking third. Their attackers are not doing well right now and they are one of the five teams that don’t have a point yet and are also one of the 4 teams that have not scored a goal yet. They are accompanied by Norwich, Palace, and the Wolves which are not great company considering that Arsenal are one of the well known teams in England. Their standards and expectations have gone down significantly which is not a good sign for their future. I don’t think they will get European football for next year and don’t think they will come in the top 10. This is not where they should be right now but are. They should be competing for trophies and challenging the big 6 but now are struggling to get goals and points on the board.

City are a perfect team but they received one major blow to their offensive side. They were looking to sign Harry Kane but he said he will stay at Tottenham this summer and will not move to City. City needed a striker since Sergio Aguero left and now will have to go to their backup options for the central striker replacement. Jack Grealish has been playing like the player that City expected him to be. He is drawing fouls and benefiting City on the left flank. I imagine until City signs a centre forward, they will move somebody to the central position or will start Gabriel Jesus. They have plenty of options and am sure that Pep will make a good decision.

I believe Man City will win this game 3-0. City will take advantage of the “new” Arsenal and will crush them on home turf. City have so many ways to score and I think the Gunner’s defense won’t be able to contain it. City are so clinical and if you give them a chance, they will score. Arsenal will hand them chances and I think it should be a fairly easy match for the Cityzens.

Can Arsenal hand City their second loss with an upset at the Etihad or will Man City control the game and add to Arsenal’s struggles? We will find out very soon on Saturday from a packed Manchester City stadium.
