This is perhaps the best matchup of the week and it is between two epic clubs as in Liverpool and Chelsea. The Blues visit Anfield to play the Reds led by Mo. Salah and Virgil Van Dijk. Both teams are 2-0 and looking to become 3-0. For Chelsea, Lukaku had an amazing game and was a real thorn as Arsenal failed to contain him. Liverpool’s defense faces a big challenge against him and they have to slow him down if they want to win.
Chelsea have been spectacular till now but Liverpool is going to be their biggest test. Liverpool’s wingback Andy Robertson will most likely be back from injury and will be another player Chelsea should keep an eye on. Him and Alexander-Arnold deliver some of the best crosses in the world and Tuchel’s men have to shut that down. Mount and James also had a great game against the Gunners and had so much energy. Chelsea just have to play like last game, crisp, clinical, disciplined, coordinated, and energetic. Let’s just talk about Lukaku for a minute. He has all the skills that a soccer player needs. He is so accurate with his shots, can muscle his way through people, and head the ball as well as anyone. He is everything a soccer club needs in one package. He is going to be a superstar in this league, that’s for sure.
Liverpool have played to perfection this season. They haven’t had a test yet but have not made any mistakes against the bottom 10 teams either. They controlled the previous two games against Norwich and Burnley but Chelsea will bring them back to reality and give them some shoves. Their forwards have been great till now which was something we did not see last year. They are a healthy team and now can play up to their potential. Roberto Firmimo has already shown signs of improvement, Van Dijk is back from his season-ending injury to solidify the defense, and they are a full team now. They are one of the biggest title contenders this year and have a team to win another PL title.
I believe Chelsea will win this clash at Anfield by the score of 2-1. The Blues are offensively stacked and the defense is solid. They haven’t given up a goal this season and are an all-rounded team. Chelsea have not taken any wrong steps this season and will win at the home of Liverpool. I don’t think the Reds defense can stop Chelsea’s forwards and close them down. In my opinion, Chelsea are the best team in the league right now and I don’t think Liverpool will be able to stop them. It will be a very close and contested game on Saturday afternoon.
