Week 13 of this NFL season has one match that stands out. The Patriots vs the Bills on Monday Night Football. Mac Jones of the Pats was drafted 15th overall but has undoubtedly played better than all the rookie quarterbacks drafted before him. He has only thrown 8 picks which is less than Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. He has also thrown the 10th most yards in this league among quarterbacks. The Pats look good this season and are coming to play at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo on Monday.
The Patriots hold the aces in the AFC East and have the longest win streak in football right now with a 6 game unbeaten run. Ever since that overtime loss to Dallas, they have crushed opponents and look amazing. They are coming off a big home win against Ryan Tannehill with a 13-36 win. They have a chance to really cement their spot in the division and head into the bye week feeling good about themselves. They’ve had no problem scoring points and even though they don’t have a lot of big names on their team, they find a way to get the job done. I believe this resilient Patriots team is going to play really well against Josh Allen’s squad.
The Bills had a long week and are finally playing after 11 days. Their Thanksgiving night win over New Orleans was spectacular and was a good game after Jonathan Taylor thrashed them at home. The passing game got them 4 touchdowns and 260 yards which was a good night for Josh and his receivers. But Allen has thrown 2 picks in each of his last two games which is not a good sign. The Patriots feast on turnovers and I’m sure the Bills don’t want another thumping at home. Another piece of bad news for them is that cornerback Tre’Davious White is out for the season with an injury. They’re going to have to dig deep and not let Mac Jones get too comfortable in this game.
I believe the Bills are going to win 31-27. This is their 1st meeting of two in the season so anything could happen but I think the Bills have the slight edge in this division duel. I think this is going to be the game where New England finally loses. To me right now, the Bills seem the more experienced team than the Patriots young team. The Patriots offense is pretty young and while the Bills players have more experience.
The last game of Week 13 of this NFL season should be an awesome one. Can Bill Belichick and the Pats upset the Bills who are in home territory or will Bills Mafia prevail this time before the meet at Gillette Stadium once again? We’ll find out soon enough from Buffalo, New York.
