2022 Premier League Week 29 Prediction- Manchester United vs Tottenham

Another weekend of the Premier League rolls in and for both of these clubs, a win would be huge. Man United are slipping up and after their recent Derby loss, they have dropped 5th to an Arsenal team which is on fire. Tottenham are picking up pace and after two clean sheets and 9 combined goals in two games, they have got some flare back. Harry Kane and Son continue to be the greatest duo while their new January signing Kulusevski has been playing well. United will have to be at their best against Antonio Conte’s team at the Theatre of Dreams.

Tottenham have been scoring goals and Harry Kane is back in his goalscoring form. They have scored their opponents 9-0 in their last two games as Son and Kane have combined for five of them. Kulusevski has provided them with an extra attacking sense and his left foot has proved to be dangerous. For the Spurs, I feel they just have to play how they’ve been playing and really put United under the hood. What I really like about the Spurs is their ability to set players free with one pass. With the players they have, they stretch the field and use that to their advantage. This team is playing better lately and a win at Old Trafford could put them into the top 5.

Man United haven’t been at their best lately which seems pretty clear. They’re coming off a derby thumping in which they completely got outplayed by City. I feel that by this point of the season, they should have a consistent starting XI. The only person on their team who is playing well right now is De Gea. Each team knows what 11 players are going to be on the field but for Man United, it keeps on changing. One game it’s Elanga and the next game it’s Rashford. Rangnick needs to have the same players on the pitch each time and build upon each bad game. Replacing the player is not going to make the situation better. Against Tottenham, they need to use the space and not get stuck defending. City put them against a wall and then started to pour the goals on them. Their next game is midweek against Atletico Madrid so a strong performance against the Spurs would definitely get Old Trafford and their team full of good vibes.

My prediction for this game is 2-1 to Tottenham. They’ve used space really well in their last few games and their three forwards are bursting with confidence. Man United haven’t been playing great lately and I feel like they’ll lose to an in-form Tottenham team. Kane, Son, and Kulusevski have all been playing tremendous football which I believe will lead the Spurs to victory in Manchester. This game will be televised on Peacock TV.

To finish Saturday with Premier League, Manchester United host Tottenham Hotspur in Matchweek 29. Can Antonio Conte’s men beat their 2nd Manchester team within the last month or will Ralf Rangnick’s Red Devils grab a huge 3 points in the top four race? We’ll find out on Saturday, March 12th at 12:30 PM from Manchester.

 THE END
