The last game of the NFL is soon upon us and it should be a thriller. The top two teams of the league battle it out in the Super Bowl on Sunday Night. The Eagles crushed the 49ers two weeks ago while the Chiefs edged the Bengals. It should be an amazing encounter between two terrific teams.
Nick Sirianni has led the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl and what a run it has been. Both their two playoff wins have been so lopsided that I don’t think I’ve seen them at their max capability yet. It’s been so comfortable for them and they’ve simplified the game so much. Their receivers haven’t stolen the show yet but this will be a strong game for both Brown and Smith. The Eagles game has been so flawless that I don’t know what to say about Philly. We’ve seen everything they can do and they do it so well too. Against the Giants, the running game dominated and against the 49ers, they played splendid defense. If you want to talk about a complete team, the Eagles are a perfect example of that. Can the Eagles fly in Glendale?
No obstacle is too big for Mahomes is the story these days. He gets a high ankle sprain vs Jacksonville, no biggie and still plays through it. He faces the Bengals again and this time without Tyreek Hill and still manages to be successful. This game is a test for everyone else on the Chiefs roster and each one has to do their role. The Chiefs defense has to keep Hurts in check and not let the Eagles control the game while the offense needs to score points. It has to be a full team effort and it can’t all be #15. Valdez-Scantling had a big game against Cincy in the Conference Championship and he or Juju have to step up again. The Eagles are eventually going to figure up Kelce so these two receivers are going to play a big role. It’s probably the hardest Super Bowl the Chiefs will have played and let’s see if Andy Reid’s group is up to the task.
When it came time to write this prediction, I debated myself countless times on who is going to win. Some people told me it would be an Eagles blowout and others told me the Chiefs would win because of what Mahomes can do. Both teams are so good that I had a tough time choosing the winner. My pick for this game is that the Eagles will win 31-27. I only chose the Eagles because they have the better all around team. I have learned to never count out Patrick Mahomes but even he can’t carry Kansas City to the win. In this game, A.J Brown will have 100+ receiving yards and be a thorn in the Kansas City defense. Brown hasn’t made an impact yet in the playoffs and this will be his breakout game. I also want to see more of DeVonta Smith in the passing game. One of these two receivers will have a huge game but someone has to step up. The Eagles have so many options and they are stacked everywhere. It’ll be a big test for the Philly defense against a great out of pocket quarterback but it’s one I think they can overcome. This game rests on KC’s defense because they face a premium offense which is tough to defend against. How well can the Chiefs defense hold up against Jalen Hurts stellar offense? This game is available to watch on FOX at 6:30 PM on February the 12th.
On the final Sunday of the 2022-23 NFL season, the Eagles and Chiefs square off in Glendale, Arizona. Will Jason Kelce best his younger brother Travis and lead the Eagles to the win or will Travis Kelce continue to dominate teams and get himself another Super Bowl? We’ll find out at State Farm Stadium on Sunday evening.
