It’s time for Arsenal vs Manchester City on a Sunday late morning in Week 25 of 38 of the Premier League. Both teams have been playing marvelously in their last 10 games and have moved up the table considerably. Manchester City holds the aces in the table with 53 points and a 15 game unbeaten run in the Premier League with the last loss coming against Tottenham. On the other hand, Arsenal started rough and there were some rumors that Arteta could get fired but they have improved so much since then which took them to the 10th place. It will be a challenging game for them.
The Gunners scored 4 goals in 50 minutes vs Leeds United last Sunday which they maintained till the end to win 4-2. Their captain and striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat trick in that win at home. This team has good quality and are a super team but have to use that on the field. They got midfielder Martin Ødegaard on loan from Real Madrid to boost up that midfield and he could sign permanently with Arsenal. Their defense has to be flawless vs Manchester City who feast on mistakes by the opposing team. They have an important task this weekend and if they can get at least 1 point vs this team it will be satisfactory for them. It would be a miracle if they could win and end City’s tremendous streak and take home 3 points.
I am flabbergasted by Manchester City, in a good way of course. They don’t have players you would hear everyday like Messi, Neymar, or Ronaldo but they do have young rising stars who play marvelously like Phil Foden. Foden had a great season after the Project Restart ( project restart is during COVID-19 after the long layoff ) with scoring plenty of goals and kept that going this season. Sergio Aguero hasn’t been playing much so he gets to play as a starter on the team. Another person who has been playing superb in the last few games is midfielder İlkay Gündoğan. He is scoring so much and is so clinical with his finish. Those two are super scary to play against recently and will surely make a difference in this one. The Cityzens are taking a stroll through the park and are no doubt playing the best soccer in England currently.
I think Manchester City will win this away game 3-0. Every part of this team is dangerous from a 70 yard pass assist by their goalie Ederson to Gündogan to sweet feet in the penalty area by Foden. You have to watch out for every City player on the field and are close to impossible to deny. This momentum from them is unbelievable and I believe they can keep that winning going. Arsenal’s defense is not the best and won’t be able to stop the City strikers and midfielders. Both teams are in good form and I am excited to see the outcome of this one.
It will be an interesting Premier League game as the league is getting close. It’s Mikel Arteta who used to work at Manchester City and the Arsenal Gunners vs Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and the Manchester City Cityzens who look like they will win the Premier League this season. Can Aubameyang and Arsenal shut down City finally or will manager Pep Guardiola and Manchester City continue that never ending dominance? A game from Emirates Stadium on a late Sunday morning will decide it.
