2021-22 Premier League Prediction- Manchester United vs Leicester City

This game holds two of the biggest strikers in the league. Jamie Vardy from the Foxes and arguably the best player ever, Ronaldo of Man United face off at King Power Stadium in Leicester. Both teams are coming off against ties but could have won in their matches. Leicester find themselves in 13th place which is quite odd considering the roster that they have and the skill level. They’ve taken 2 points in the last 4 games which is super unlike them. United meanwhile, have probably the hardest schedule ahead. They face Leicester, Liverpool, Tottenham, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea all in a 7 game span which is a pretty tough road ahead.

One piece of positivity for United is that their English winger Marcus Rashford is back from injury. He was expected to be fine by November but has recovered sooner. He had a great season last year and was a big part of their 2nd place finish. He will provide depth and give Ole more options for his starting XI. United face all the big clubs in the next month and a half which will be a challenge for them. It will define them and will prove if they are big title contenders or not. They have looked really good on the pitch but in the last two home games, they have lacked that goal scoring touch. People will be watching Ronaldo & Co. in the next few games and will expect strong performances in those games. It is a test they have to excel in to have a good chance for their 14th PL title and Ole’s first as a Man United coach.

Leicester have underperformed in the last few games. They are last in the Europa League and have not played greatly in those games. They tied to Burnley, Palace, were held scoreless vs Legia Warsaw, and lost to Brighton. They have to step up against the Devils on Saturday. Their two strikers have done what they were supposed to but the midfield has to score some goals and the defense has to get better. Overall, there is room for improvement in this football club. They need some spark to get going and become the team that they were in the last few years. Brendan Rodgers has to do something to get them going.

I believe Manchester United will win 2-0. Even though they are away, City are not playing well and lack the confidence. Rashford is back and I think play at some point in this match. United’s defense has been really good but in this one, they will need the last touch perfect for the goal. Their players have to be more clinical and give some hard shots to beat the Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
