2021 MLB ALCS Postseason Prediction- Houston Astros vs Boston Red Sox

As the series shifts to Boston and Fenway Park, the Red Sox and Astros are tied 1-1. Kike Hernandez is a flying figure for the Sox and has handed the Astro a lot of problems so far. He has 3 homers in this series, has made some epic diving catches, and is 6-9 in this series. The Astros pitching staff have to figure out a way to stop this man on fire. This series has been an offensive one so far and the players have racked up hits.

The Astros had no chance in game two from the 2nd inning. It was 8-0 after two innings and gave up two grand slams in consecutive innings. They rallied a little bit but simply were out of the game. The starters on the mound haven’t been great till now and need a solid performance from Jose Urquidy in Game 3. Offensively, they have been amazing. The hitters are doing everything right but the pitching has been letting them down. They have to find a way to slow this loaded Red Sox offense soon or else it will be a quick series. Jose Altuve and his team have to get things rolling in Boston in an iconic venue.

Boston were perfect in Game 2 in Minute Maid Park in Houston. They took an early lead and held it till the last pitch. Nathan Eovaldi pitched a super 5.1 innings and added another strong outing for him in this postseason. He relieved the bullpen some work and gave all that he could to manager Alex Cora and the team. They have 21 hits combined in these two games and are really making it hard for the Astros pitchers. Enrique Hernandez had been a gem so far for the Sox. He has been clutch till now and has probably been the best AL player this postseason. Boston has a big advantage under their die-hard fans for the next few games of this set.

I think Boston will win this game by the score of 8-6. It’s going to be another high scoring game and both team’s offenses will be super productive. Boston has home field advantage and is coming off a confidence boosting game. A lot of their players are feeling the mid-October surge and are getting on base. Right now, it is not easy to get Boston out, much less get a 1-2-3 inning. It’s going to be a tight game and full of action from both teams.

This game 3 is a swing game. Can Kike, Devers, Bogaerts, and Schwarber lead the Red Sox to a 1 game lead or will Altuve, Correa, Gurriel, and Bregman spoil the party late night in the East Coast? We will find out on Monday Night in Fenway Park.

THE END
